COURSE DESCRIPTION
The Diploma in Ayurvedic Pharmacy is a career-focused program designed to provide students with comprehensive knowledge of Ayurvedic principles, medicines, and pharmaceutical practices. Rooted in the ancient science of Ayurveda, this diploma aims to bridge traditional healing methods with modern pharmaceutical applications.
Throughout the course, students learn about the fundamentals of Ayurveda, including basic concepts such as Doshas (Vata, Pitta, Kapha), Dhatus, Malas, and Agni. The curriculum also covers Ayurvedic pharmacognosy, pharmaceutical processes, herbal drug preparation, formulations (Asavas, Arishtas, Bhasmas, Churnas, etc.), and quality control techniques for herbal medicines.
The program includes both theoretical and practical training. Students are exposed to Ayurvedic raw materials, formulation techniques, herbal garden maintenance, GMP standards, and modern lab practices. In addition to traditional knowledge, students are trained in basic modern pharmaceutical practices, pharmacology, and drug dispensing procedures, ensuring a well-rounded skill set.
