COURSE DESCRIPTION
The Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) is a 4.5-year undergraduate program designed to provide students with in-depth knowledge and practical skills in the field of physical rehabilitation, therapeutic exercises, and movement science. The course blends foundational medical sciences with core physiotherapy subjects, aiming to develop competent professionals who can assess, diagnose, and treat patients with physical impairments or disabilities resulting from injury, illness, or aging.
The curriculum is structured over four academic years followed by a compulsory six-month clinical internship. During the course, students gain a strong understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, pharmacology, biomechanics, exercise therapy, electrotherapy, and clinical physiotherapy. The program also emphasizes evidence-based practice, ethical responsibilities, communication skills, and hands-on experience through supervised clinical training in hospitals and physiotherapy centers.
Graduates of BPT can pursue careers in hospitals, rehabilitation centers, sports facilities, community health centers, or private practice. Additionally, they can opt for higher studies and research in specialized branches of physiotherapy.
