Bachelor of Arts ( B.A. )

COURSE DESCRIPTION

The Bachelor of Public Health Administration (BPHA) is a comprehensive undergraduate program designed to equip students with the knowledge, skills, and competencies required to manage and lead public health systems effectively. Spanning across three to four years (depending on the institution and country), this interdisciplinary course blends principles of public health, healthcare management, epidemiology, health policy, and administration to prepare graduates for roles in both governmental and non-governmental health organizations.

The BPHA curriculum offers a robust foundation in public health theories and practices, health program planning, community health, environmental and occupational health, health economics, and healthcare laws and ethics. Students are also trained in data analysis, research methodologies, leadership, and strategic planning to address real-world health challenges. Special emphasis is placed on health promotion, disease prevention, and improving healthcare delivery systems for diverse populations.
Through a combination of classroom instruction, case studies, fieldwork, internships, and project-based learning, students develop a deep understanding of the social, economic, cultural, and environmental factors that influence health outcomes. Graduates are prepared to pursue careers in health administration, public policy, hospital management, NGOs, and international health organizations, or to further their education in public health or healthcare management.
