COURSE DESCRIPTION
The Diploma in Acupressure & Acupuncture is a specialized healthcare program designed to impart foundational to intermediate knowledge in two of the most ancient and respected healing systems originating from Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). This integrated diploma course equips students with the theoretical understanding, diagnostic skills, and practical application techniques necessary to practice acupressure and acupuncture professionally or as a complementary therapy.
Acupressure is a non-invasive therapy that involves applying physical pressure to specific points on the body (called acupoints) using fingers, palms, elbows, or special devices. It stimulates the body’s natural self-curative abilities and balances the flow of energy or "Qi".
Acupuncture involves the insertion of fine, sterile needles into specific points on the body to activate healing responses. It is widely used to treat pain, manage chronic illnesses, and promote overall wellness by balancing energy pathways (meridians).
